Cruising is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming.

There are ships, cabins, decks, dining times, drinks packages, shore excursions, embarkation days, sea days, port days, formal nights, gratuities, shuttle buses, luggage labels, cruise cards, daily programmes, and a whole language that seems obvious only after someone has explained it.

That is where Cruise, Explained comes in.

Cruise, Explained is a calm, clear cruise guide and community created to help people understand cruising with more confidence.

It is especially helpful for first-time cruisers, nervous cruisers, and anyone who likes the idea of cruising but does not quite know where to start.

But it is not only for beginners.

Cruise, Explained is also for experienced cruisers who want to share what they know, offer tips from real journeys, compare cruise lines and ships, ask their own questions, and help others feel more prepared before they sail.

The aim is simple:

To make cruising easier to understand through clear guidance, practical advice, and shared cruise experience.

Here, no question is too basic, and no experience is too small to share.

Whether you are choosing your first cabin, wondering what happens on a sea day, trying to understand what is included in your cruise price, or sharing the one thing you wish someone had told you before your first sailing, you are welcome here.

If you’re new here, you can learn more about Cruise, Explained on our About page, read more on the Blog, browse practical Tips and Hacks, or explore our growing Port Guides.
